“Bugeaters,” a documentary about the first decade of University of Nebraska football, won the best-documentary award at the Estes Park Film Festival last weekend.
Director-screenwriter-editor Jim Fields of Omaha said he was shocked to win and thought other documentaries in competition were excellent.
“Bugeaters” has its Lincoln premiere today at 1 p.m. at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center, 313 N. 13th St. It will have a return-engagement screening in Grand Island at 2 p.m. Oct. 2 and will also be screened at the Reel Dakota Film Festival in Sioux Falls, S.D., the weekend of Oct. 21-23.
